Somerset campsite to offer unique 2016 events - starting with Canine First Aid

f8c46f61-e55f-4426-bf97-2e95ef7aa092

During the 2016 season The Old Oaks Touring Park near Glastonbury, Somerset, is planning a host of events and courses for site guests.

The adult-only touring park, part of the high-quality Premier Parks group of sites, offered various courses during 2015 including photography workshops and wildlife walks, and the site managers plan to create another schedule of events for 2016.

As a dog-friendly site, the first course on the line-up is Canine First Aid on 11 March. Running from 9.30am until 2.30pm at a cost of £55, this introductory course will enable people to gain knowledge and confidence on basic first aid skills for dogs. With a practical 'hands on' approach to activities, the course will cover such skills as:

  • common canine first aid situations
  • restraining the animal safely
  • bandaging techniques for wounds
  • managing common injuries to eyes and ears
  • CPR training on 'resusci-dogs'

For more information about this course or any aspect of the touring park please contact The Old Oaks on 01458 831437.
