Introduction to Run Cottage Touring Park

If you’re looking for a beautiful, rural and relaxing location for an adults-only getaway, then look no further than pretty, tranquil Run Cottage Touring Park. A stunning centrepiece to Run Cottage is the large pond and, with views over farmland, this is an ideal spot to just kick back and relax.

What the campsite has to offer

Set between the market town of Woodbridge (famous for its working tide mill) and the Suffolk coast, the well-kept site has just 45 pitches. They are a mixture of grass and hardstanding, with electric hook-up available, and six fully serviced pitches.

There are toilets and showers on site, along with a washing-up area, laundry facilities, WiFi and a dog exercise field. A pub and shop are within half a mile of the site, in the village of Hollesley.

If you want to explore the local area then just one mile away is the start of a large area of heathland that makes up Hollesley Common, with walking trails and several parking areas.

The dog-friendly shingle beach at the aptly named Shingle Street Site of Special Scientific Interest is two miles away, and south down the beach are the remains of Martello towers, pill boxes and anti-tank blocks.

Slightly further afield, Sutton Hoo – an Anglo-Saxon royal burial site – is a 10-minute drive, with Woodbridge, set on the River Deben, another five minutes further on.
