A four-star holiday park in Cromer, owned by the Gurney family, has been praised by David Bellamy for its work towards conservation after scooping a green accolade for the 14th year running.

Forest Park offers camping and holiday homes and was recently awarded the Gold standard in the David Bellamy Conservation Awards scheme for its efforts to protect, preserve and improve our natural environment helping it to thrive for generations to come.

To achieve this, Forest Park has a number of environmentally friendly initiatives including; bird and butterfly boxes, a hard-working team who manage dead trees and forest areas where they encourage animals to thrive, low energy light bulb usage, travelling on electric buggies around the site, Mmonitoring water usage closely, and encouraging recycling. The holiday park also support their local community by buying from local suppliers and backing local events and sporting clubs. All this work was evaluated during an independent inspection earlier in the year.

Nick Pearce, General Manager of Forest Park is delighted that Forest Park has once again received this award. 'It has been a pleasure working closely with the David Bellamy team over the last 14 years and we were delighted to receive this award once again. We were especially pleased to also receive a special award for our enduring commitment to conservation over this time,' he said.

With a range of cottages, wooden lodges, static holiday homes and 100 acres of woodland for campers, visitors to Forest Park are offered a home away from home.
