New modern amenities block at award-winning Cornish campsite
A new, underfloor-heated amenities block will be opening in time for summer 2020 at Cornwall’s award-winning Premier Park, Heligan Caravan and Camping Park.
The new facilities — specially designed for the campsite by Cornwall-based architects, The Bazeley Partnership — replace an outdated amenity block and will include seven private family rooms with generous walk-in showers, WC, basin and mirror; one accessible family room, equipped with a toilet, basin and a walk-in shower; and separate male and female changing areas, each with two large showers, toilet facilities, changing benches and mirrors. Adjoining the main amenity building, there will also be a launderette, drying room, washing up area and external dog shower.
Nicole Murray, marketing and sales manager for Heligan Caravan and Camping Park, said: "Our new amenity block has been built with design in mind, blending in with the natural surroundings, built with natural timber cladding and metal. The underfloor heating will be more comfortable for guests, particularly during the colder months as the campsite is open all year round, and the dog shower will ensure every member of the family is happy!"
