Further investment in expanding West Cornwall holiday park

Pentewan Sands Holiday Park has announced it will be investing in 15 new holiday homes ahead of 2016 thanks to another successful year.

The holiday park, in Mevagissey bay, near St Austell, and one of 100 top Premier Parks for 2016, will be adding 15 brand new three-bedroom Diamond, Platinum and Gold Plus range holiday homes to increase on-site accommodation.

The investment comes following a hugely successful year for the resort, with bookings up by 8.7% from last year, as well as the park being awarded a five-star Quality in Tourism award this year from VisitEngland for the first time since it opened in 1945.

Graham Brown, General Manager at Pentewan Sands, said, 'Thanks to a successful summer, we are continuing to invest into new facilities at the park and this year that comes in the form of 15 new holiday homes. We are committed to strengthening the park for our guests and responding to their feedback and needs to keep our facilities fresh and updated.'

During 2015, Pentewan Sands had added a variety of new facilities to the park including a new play area on the beach, refurbished on-site tennis courts, and created a new, Cornish themed on-site pub as well as being joined by award-winning burger chain HUBBOX on the beach-front.

Pentewan Sands also welcomes tourers and campers who can benefit from generously-sized electric and non-electric pitches, that are just a stone’s throw from the beach. The on-site all-weather clubhouse includes two indoor swimming pools, a soft-play area, fantastic fresh food and family entertainment, plus holidaymakers can try outdoor water sports activities.
