Highlights for 2022
-
Khyam has invested heavily into premium fabrics. While the cost to produce tents is at an all-time high, all its family tents come with 150-denier fabric with a massive 6,000mm hydrostatic head. Even the smallest tents come with a minimum 5,000mm HH.
-
The Khyam lifetime warranty covers all aspects of manufacturing defaults, without any limitations.
-
Khyam is also able to book in minor or major repairs to help make sure your tents last a lifetime.
-
Khyam has a focus on becoming more eco-friendly, and has already planted over 10,000 trees, with the aim of planting a further 16,000 in 2022 alone. It has also offset more than 62 tonnes of carbon dioxide to date, from CO2 produced in manufacturing to the CO2 that couriers produce when shipping the goods to the endc onsumer.
-
Khyam family tents all have extra-large bedrooms, meaning even the smallest family models offer bedrooms big enough to fit a full-size double airbed.
-
The Khyam Igloo has had its first major update in 32 years. The quick-erect system has been re-engineered to offer a smaller pack size while keeping the Igloo the exact same size. To mark such a large change to this iconic model, it has been renamed the the Igloo 2.0.
-
Khyam’s tent ranges have now had most colours removed from the fabrics, with the goal of 100% of the range being colour-free by 2023. Khyam says using shades rather than colours in fabric has a massive health benefit. While colours can be aesthetically pleasing, according to the company, the damage it can cause to your eyes from prolonged stays can cause discomfort and potential damage.

Family tunnel tent
Sleeps:

The Khyam flagship AirTek 8 Pro has been a firm favourite for years. It’s packed with many features and is one of the most striking tents out there. This inflatable family tent features the unique Vista doors that allow the entire side of the tent to be opened up onto a single canopy frame into a large side sun canopy.
This allows ease of access to three individual doors, all of which have secondary mesh backing, designed to make it the most ventilated tent on the market today.
The king-size bedrooms offer huge sleeping space, more than enough to fit in four full-size double airbeds. Sheltered under the Sleep Easy bedroom fabric, this darkened area allows for a better night’s sleep. All rooms have floor-to-ceiling zipped divides, making them extremely versatile for sleeping arrangements. The large living space (with a fully sewn-in groundsheet and massive 235cm head height) provides ample light, with off-white roof, skylights and windows on every panel.
It has a cavernous panoramic feel, while remaining totally private, as all windows and doors have zipped curtains. The fold-flat groundsheet on the internal dividing door allows easy access to the porch area, which also has a huge, fully removable front door.

The flysheet boasts an impressive 150 denier and a 6,000mm hydrostatic head. With seven air vents and five mesh doors, this tent provides a great airy space to camp, free of condensation. A host of optional extras are available, including front mesh door, side storage annexe, front inflatable canopy, roof liner, carpet and footprint.

Khyam’s AirTek 6 will be turning heads this season. Just like the AirTek 8 Pro, this showcases the very best of innovation, quality and usability, to offer a smaller six-man family tent.
Boasting Khyam’s 6,000mm hydrostatic head and 150-denier Weather Weave Pro fabric, this is a real premium tent.

The AirTek 6 will sleep six comfortably in its three large two-man inners. Each is separated by a zipped divider, and each inner is capable of fitting a full-size double airbed. With the option of adding an additional two-man inner tent, this family tent can sleep up to eight people.
![The AirTek 6 pitched and ready to use The AirTek 6 pitched](/images/image/camping-uk/essential-guide-2022/kyham/kyham-airtek-6-pitched.jpg)
It offers some of the same features as the flagship, with the patent-pending Precision Pitch and king-size Sleep Easy inners. The anti-trip Precision Pitch is not the only anti-trip feature on this tent, with the front groundsheet folding down flat when the doors are open.
Add the inflatable canopy at the front, and it makes this tent feel like it was born in nature... its panoramic windows on all panels help bring the outdoors in.

Khyam’s small family/weekend, four-man inflatable tent comes with hidden versatility. Now for 2022, there’s the option of an enclosed canopy front.
Couple that with the option to add multiple canopies, this tent is only limited in size by the space available.

Here is the Khyam AirTek Tourer 4 with an optional zip on canopy added
This tent can be pitched in under 15 minutes, giving you more time to enjoy yourself, especially if only camping for a couple of nights. What’s unusual for this size of tent is the heavier-gauge fabric, normally saved for flagship models.
It isn’t often you find a small tent with a 6,000mm HH and 150D fabric. With Khyam’s emphasis on quality above all else, the Khyam AirTek Tourer 4 will be a popular weekender for 2022.

The year has got off to a great start with our most successful NEC Caravan, Camping and Motorhome show. It was great to reconnect face to face with our customers again for the first time in two years. It was very clear that our quality is shining through above all else as well as a huge amount of support for our business practices moving into becoming more eco-friendly.
