Coleman tents 2018

eee32b8b-9f79-44de-8088-732ca5508a73

Coleman has been producing outdoor equipment for 117 years and generations of campers have put their trust in the brand. It's no surprise. All Coleman products share the same quality and attention to detail and each is backed by an extensive testing programme.

As always, Coleman’s new tents for 2018 combine high-quality materials with innovative features, particularly the BlackOut bedrooms. These use a black PU coating to block up to 99% of external light and have proved very popular since being launched in 2016. BlackOut bedrooms also help keep bedroom areas up to 5°C cooler by day and up to 1°C warmer at night.

The Coleman 2018 range features a selection of both inflatable and traditional pole tents. The new Pinto Mountain 5 Plus (£429.99) is a generously proportioned poled family tent, with full head-height throughout and spacious BlackOut Bedrooms. The large living area can easily accommodate a family-sized table and chairs and the PVC windows provide plenty of light.

The large peak over the front door provides protection from the rain on entry and exit. It boasts an impressive hydrostatic head of 4,500mm to keep you dry. For easy access and exit, the tent has an ingenious full-height door with a drop-down section providing a totally flat entrance, perfect for buggies, wheelchairs and to prevent the family from tripping.

The luxurious FastPitch Air Valdes range is available in three different sizes; 4, 6L and 6XL (£649-£999). New for 2018, the tents now feature a spacious porch, large enough to house a table and chairs, providing the perfect place to relax, keeping you protected from the sun and rain. It’s easy to pitch and comes supplied with a hand pump, fitted with a pressure gauge. The inflatable poles are made from three layers of tough and durable material.

Tents in the collection also come with Coleman’s unique hinged doors that can be easily opened and closed without having to contend with noisy zips.

The always-popular Kobuk Valley 3 Plus (£134.99) is a quick and easy-to-pitch dome that is perfect for festivals or weekend camping trips, with optimum head height thanks to its peaked-porch and dome structure.

Coleman are also big on event shelters – and this year they are literally going bigger than ever with the FastPitch Shelter XL (£299.99). Quick and easy to set up, the height-adjustable shelter is a great shared space for large groups on the campsite, in the garden or at events. Coleman’s UVGuard treatment provides protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays while the silver coating helps to reduce temperature by 2.5˚C. A hydrostatic head of 1000mm means good protection from the rain.
