Six top campsites that are open all year

It’s great to have the freedom to head off in your tent whenever you choose, at any time of the year.

Spring and summer are popular camping seasons, but the quieter autumn and winter months can offer their own unique appeal.

CORNWALL

Cosawes Touring & Camping Park
Cosawes is an AA five-pennant rated campsite, with two acres set aside for touring and camping. It offers 60 pitches, 30 full service hardstanding pitches with 16 amp electric hook-up, fresh and waste water points and a digital TV connection point. Also on site is an award-winning facilities block, family shower rooms, laundry, dishwashing and Wi-Fi.

Pentire Haven Holiday Park
This caravan park and campsite is situated in a stunning location near Bude, and the facilities and pitch options mean that you can get the most out of your camping, motorhome or caravan trip. The park is family owned and the holidays are very family oriented and pet friendly. It's a five-minute drive to Sandymouth Beach.

CUMBRIA

The Quiet Site
Come and discover a beautiful lake in a picturesque valley, surrounded by stunning mountains. The Quiet Site is a family-run campsite situated in a secluded position among the fells that overlook Ullswater. Campsite facilities include an excellent pub housed in an 18th century building.

DEVON

Lady’s Mile Holiday Park
Offering 450 grass pitches, some hardstanding and serviced, Lady’s Mile is a family-orientated campsite in Dawlish. It offers indoor and outdoor pools with large water flumes, a licensed mini-market, takeaway, restaurant and bar. The site also has a sauna, steam room and gym, plus a large games room and an impressive outdoor play area.

 

SOMERSET

Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park
Good things come in small packages and for proof look no further than adult-only Bath Chew Valley. Each of the site’s 45 pitches is set in its own private area, giving the campsite a personal and intimate feel. It’s within 800 yards of a championship fishing lake and close to Bath, Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare.

Wells Touring Park
Offering a relaxing atmosphere, this campsite is within walking distance of the historic city of Wells, famed for its superb Cathedral and Bishops Palace. Close by is the village of Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, Street and the Somerset Levels. Open 365 days a year, it has all-weather pitches for RVs and motorhomes up to 14m long.
