Parkland Caravan & Camping site

fc1c3d97-31f3-4ac5-930c-605ae428b495
LOCATED alongside the A381, about a mile north of Kingsbridge, Parkland was set up in 1971 and has been managed by the same family ever since, having a friendly and welcoming feel - little wonder that they enjoy repeat visits from many regulars.

The three-acre site offers 50 pitches, all of which benefit from 16-amp electric hook-up. Several of these are offered as seasonal super pitches, and these additionally gain fresh water and drainage points. A few hardstanding pitches are also availableand there are two large additional pitches for RVs.

The site itself is flat and enjoys good views over the rolling Devonshire countryside. Central to all pitches are a collection of breeze-block buildings that house toilet blocks (with showers and disabled facilities), a baby bathroom, a laundry room and a games room (complete with table tennis table and table football). These buildings are traditional in design, but do offer everything you’re likely to need on site. There’s also a fridge-freezer and microwave for campers use, as well as battery charging facilities.

Children are well catered for with trampolines (adult supervision needed), and various climbing frames. It’s also worth noting that the site also offers WiFi internet facilities – so you can surf or check your emails – and storage facilities for both leisure vehicles and watercraft.

Off site, Kingsbridge is the nearest town and well worth further exploration, while Salcombe is the place to head for watersports enthusiasts. Dartmouth is also close by and offers decent shopping and a wide choice of eateries.
