Malaga Monte Parc Holiday Village

3e023034-29aa-46a2-861f-302c4245808a
LOCATED about 15 km to the west of Malaga in the town of Alhaurin de la Torre, Malaga Monte Parc Holiday Village offers 46 touring pitches. All of a generous size and come with electric hook-ups and a gas supply. They're lined up in two rows with a modern brick-built toilet block being central to all pitches. This features separate male and female facilities, hairdryers and a disabled room. There's also a laundrette on site.

As well as the touring pitches, the site also offers holiday homes for hire and Bengali tents. These are large straight-sided tents that feature a basic camping kitchen and dining room, plus main and twin bedrooms with proper beds. Inside the tent is completely decked. For those that want to experience the outdoor appeal of camping in a tent without having to spend hours threading tent poles and sacrificing luxuries, these tents should prove ideal.

Close to the touring pitches is a decked area with plenty of outdoor seating near a cafe bar. This is said to be the perfect place to enjoy a drink while you watch the sun set over the nearby mountains. There's also an internet cafe which should be handy for keeping tabs on your emails while you're away - just ask for an access card to use this feature.

At the edge of the site - close to an orchard - is the recently-built swimming pool which is in a sunny part of the site and has a pleasant view to the mountains in the distance. A poolside bar is shortly to be finished to add to the appeal of being near the pool.

For many the location of the site - midway between the sea and the mountains - will be the key appeal of the site and whether you're looking to enjoy sunning yourself on the beaches around Malaga town, or want to head inland to the historic town of Rhonda - famed for its bridge. There are many white-walled villages to explore in the region, such as Alhaurin and Coin; while the Rock of Gibraltar is also just a short drive down the coast from the site (you can even catch a ferry to Morocco from Gibraltar, too).

The town of Alhaurin de la Torre is a traditional Spanish town that holds a festival almost every month and offers shops, banks and restaurants. It's also easy to catch a taxi from here. A 15-minute drive away is Plaza Major which features shops, factory outlets, numerous restaurants and a cinema (that shows the latest releases in both English and Spanish). The site offers a courtesy bus to this venue, it's worth noting.

There are a great many things to do in the area surrounding the site, but you might just chose to relax on site and savour the tranquillity together with the pleasant scent of the orange, lemon and pine trees that surround it.
