Scamford launches with Wessex Homes

A small holiday caravan park nestled in beautiful Welsh countryside close to the Pembrokeshire coast and the Preseli Hills, is being transformed into a residential park home estate – and the first units have been supplied by Wessex Homes.

Scamford Park is near the little village of Keeston, just five miles from the market town of Haverfordwest and a ten-minute drive from the famous surfers’ paradise at Newgale Beach. A rush of keen surfers is not anticipated, however, as Scamford is exclusively for the over 50s!

Resident owners Richard and Christine White were anxious to select homes that would enhance the stunning environment in which the park is situated, and recently took delivery of the first models  – a Melbury Special and a Canford, both built by Dorset-based Wessex. The Melbury has already been sold and a second – a 40ft x 20ft version – is on order.

“We are very lucky to have everything here on our doorstep that anyone who is thinking of leaving the rat race or retiring could possibly want,” said Richard White. “We are delighted that we can now give people the opportunity to live here perman-ently rather than simply visiting for an all too short annual holiday.
“We were determined to retain the uniqueness of Scamford Park, though, and the wide selection of Wessex homes available for people to choose from will do just that.”
