Plas Coch welcomes BHHPA

PLAS Coch holiday lodge park on the island of Anglesey, north Wales, recently hosted the annual general meeting of the British Holiday and Home Parks Association (BHHPA).

Among the guest was environmental guru Professor David Bellamy, whose conservation awards are an important mark of quality for holiday home, residential and touring parks.

“Caravan parks are very environmentally friendly places,” said Professor Bellamy. “They providing havens of sanctuary for wildlife and plant diversity and make an enormous contribution to the declining rural community.”

Plas Coch, which is set in the grounds of a 15th-century Elkizabethan manor on the shores of the Menai Straits, is part of the Talacre Beach Leisure Group, which also runs New Pines, Talacre Beach, Tan Rallt, Brynteg and Sea View parks. Plas Coch itself has its own slipway and Marine Club, and a spa is under development and due to open in 2009.
