NORFOLK PARK OFFERS A TASTE OF VILLAGE LIFE

a3e9fe2b-3608-4d6e-b364-7bebe85e0b59
It would be easy to overlook Drayton in Norfolk. Situated five miles to the north west of Norwich, it tends to be overshadowed by the county’s capital.
But this is a village with roots, one with a proud history. It is also home to a residential park-home estate. Drayton Hall is that rare find, a park within walking distance of a village green.
The 54 plots are at various levels on the sloping ground. Homes mostly have open-plan gardens. An indication of the standard here is that one resident couple have several times won the Best-Kept Garden in Drayton award.
In the village, clustered around the green alongside the village hall, are a general store, bank, butchers, pharmacy, a couple of takeaways, a Tesco, a post office and two pubs, the Cock and the Red Lion.
The bus to Norwich stops near the park entrance. The city centre is where you will find shops galore, cinemas, a theatre plus lots more. The nearest railway station is also here
The Broads with their numerous waterways and Great Yarmouth are a short drive to the east. Within five miles there is freshwater fishing, golf, a gym and a swimming pool.
A 40x20 Omar Regency show home is currently available for sale at Drayton Hall, price £129,950, as well as two ten-year-old Tingdene singles, a 40x12 costing £49,950 and a 45x12 priced at £59,950. There are also four vacant plots suitable for twins up to 50x20 at this park, where the minimum age is 50. Plot fees are £130 per calendar month
