Dales retreat offers top lodges

BADGER’S Retreat, a new holiday home development on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, has issued an open invitation to potential customers to go along anytime and experience what it describes as “an exceptional lifestyle choice”.

A new, purpose-built lodge development attracting people from all over the North of England, the park recently enjoyed a very successful open weekend where visitors were able to see at first hand all that it has to offer.

But if you couldn’t make it then, you’d better pay a visit soon, as the the homes are selling fast.

Badger’s Retreat is set in a small, secluded valley, 300 metres down a private road off James Lane in Tunstall, which is four miles south of Richmond, and just north of both Leyburn and Bedale.

When the development is complete, the 23 holiday lodges will look lost as they nuzzle within the 20 acres of land. The surrounding space only adds to the atmosphere, where it encourages the wildlife to continue to play as if they were still alone.

There is a selection of lodges available, and all come with the highest specifications, some with ceramic tiled bathrooms, modern kitchens, Italian leather furniture and plasma screen televisions. All have a high quality wooden veranda so you can enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down at the end of a perfect day.

Being positioned on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, there is an abundance of quaint villages to visit near the park, with walking and cycling for miles on quiet country roads.

Those who prefer a little more activity can choose from fishing, golf and shooting in the local area, and you can also enjoying horse racing at Catterick, Ripon and Thirsk.
