Big names sign up for October NEC show

Leading holiday home exhibitors including Swift, Allens, and Pathfinder have announced their collections for The Motorhome & Caravan Show at the NEC Birmingham from October 11-16.The show is set to be the largest event of its kind in the UK, spanning 11 halls and featuring over 350 companies, including a range of holiday homes, park homes and lodges plus caravans, motorhomes, campsites, destinations and accessories.
The Swift Group will launch a new sector-leading Bordeaux range, comprising four models, on its stand in Hall 6. The company will also showcase other 2012 models that have all benefitted from improvements in specification and design, leading to an increase in thermal performance and energy efficiency.
Allens Caravans will be exhibiting in Hall 11 in partnership with Willerby Holiday Homes and Stately Albion, displaying a Chatsworth Gold Park Home and three 2012 holiday homes as well as details of an many holiday and residential parks in stunning locations across the UK.
Also in Hall 11 Tingdene Parks, The Haulfryn Group and Pathfinder Park Homes will be showing off their portfolios. Tingdene Parks specialise in residential parks for the retired and semi-retired, while the Haulfryn Group and Pathfinder offer a range of holiday homes from the contemporary to the luxurious.
Visitors to the show will have the opportunity to compare models and get free help, advice and inspiration from experts, as well as enjoy a host of exciting attractions.
Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing from Dallas) will be appearing on the first day of the show on behalf of The Caravan Club.
Also on offer will be a comprehensive selection of free holiday-themed activities, interactive features, informative talks and demonstrations, including a Cookery Theatre starring the dynamic celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo.
Other entertainment includes the Club House with dancing and games; The Camping and Caravanning Club's Worldwide Escape Talks, offering inspirational stories on holidaying in the USA, Canada and beyond; celebrity-spotting and competitions to win amazing prizes.
A free toddlers' crèche is also on offer to occupy 2-8 year olds on Saturday and Sunday October 15-16 and the Caravan Club will be running a special Show Campsite for those who wish to stay on site and visit over two days.
• Tickets for the show include parking and a show guide and if you book before October 10 you can benefit from £2 off the on-the-door ticket price: £8 adults (£10 on-the-door), £7 seniors over 60 (£9 on-the-door) and children under 16 years can visit FREE, when accompanied by an adult.
