WILLOW View Park has been undergoing re-development since 2001, and currently has 33 occupied homes on site. Owned by Gordon and Noel Podbury, and managed by Gordon and his wife Claire, the lovely park lies halfway between Honiton and Exeter, and is set in seven acres with far-reaching views of the Devon countryside. The family has owned the park for the last 50 years.

There are now two plots available at Willow View, which will accommodate homes up to 48x20, with a 22x10 garage sited alongside. These are located adjacent to a newly constructed pond area, which has been landscaped with palms, bamboo and ferns. There will ultimately be 36 homes situated on the park.

A brand new entrance to the park will be completed this year, and planning permission has been granted for the construction of a new office, shop and amenity room for future development.

The park is not far from Whimple village, with its village shop, post office, hairdressers, church, two pubs, a doctor’s surgery and a vet.

The Long Range Swimming School is adjacent to the park, where there are two lovely heated swimming pools, a bar and restaurant. Otter Nurseries Garden Centre in Ottery St Mary is a popular destination for many of the park’s existing residents.

For entertainment, there are cinemas in Exmouth, Sidmouth, and three in Exeter, which is also home to both the Northcott and Barnfield Theatres.

Exeter is ten miles from the park, and Sidmouth is just seven miles away. This lovely, unspoilt Regency seaside town on the Jurassic coast (a World Heritage Site) has more than 500 listed buildings. It is also famous as the venue for a week-long summer folk music festival at venues across the town.

Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton are approximately nine miles from the park. Well known for its many independent shops, beach huts and safe, clean bathing, Budleigh also hosts annual Music and Arts, Jazz and Literary festivals. There is a Farmers’ Market on the last Friday of every month, too. You will find many golf courses nearby to the park, good angling, cycling, and many countryside and coastal walks.
