SHEERLINE decking systems are manufactured in Derbsyhire by Sheerline’s parent company, LB Plastics. With some 13 years experience in designing, manufacturing and installing decking systems for holiday and residential park homes, this is a company that can rightly claim to be one of the best known brands in the industry.

All the Sheerline decking ranges are manufactured in high impact grade thermoplastic – or as it’s usually known, PVC, uPVC and PVCu – which is widely used as a substitute for wooden decking because of its low maintenance and hard-wearing characteristics.

DIFFERENCE

A basic difference between Sheerline products and some other plastic ones, is that the PVC used by LB is calcium organic stabilised, and hence is free from lead additives. What’s more, the systems are easily recyclable at the end of their long life.

I should also add that the products are manufactured under the ISO9001 quality assured systems, which the company says gives customers the assurance that their decking has been built to the highest standards.

All the products are available throughout the mainland UK, and in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, via the company’s factory-trained approved installers, all of whom are listed on the company’s website.

SMOOTH

In addition to the company’s well-known SheerGrain deck plank, Sheerline recently introduced a new plank that, it claims, benefits from a smooth surface giving greater comfort, less dirt retention, and better rainwater run-off. It also has good slip resistance and is available in a number of colours.

And in keeping with other decking suppliers, Sheerline offers a complementary range of steps, skirting, access ramps, and fencing
