FOR the ultimate in country living, the 320-acre Kenwick Park Estate in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds, with its superb golf course, health and leisure centre, tennis courts and Georgian country park hotel can’t be beaten – and you don’t need to be a hotel guest to enjoy the facilities.

Hidden among the trees is a select development of holiday homes created by Pine Lodges UK. The area, known as Kenwick Woods, is based in a stunning part of the former 19th Century sporting estate, and home owners are welcome to use any of the park’s top quality amenities.

If golf is your sport, you and a guest can enjoy a round on the parkland golf course. A private, members-only club, as a member of Kenwick Woods you can either join as a full member or pay a ‘green fee’ to play on the day.

The challenging 18-hole, par-72 international standard course is one of the best in the country, with a smart clubhouse, driving range and pro-shop.

As a holiday home owner you will also be welcome in the Kenwick Health & Leisure Club with its indoor pool, state-of-the-art gym, health and beauty salon, outdoor tennis courts and more.

Strictly members-only, joint membership of the club is automatically included for all Kenwick Woods lodge owners (the joining fee is usually £1,600), enabling them and up to six friends to relax, swim or work out.

Kenwick Woods is also home to a Georgian country park hotel – originally known as Kenwick Hall – and lodge owners are welcome to dine in the Fairways Restaurant or grab a drink in the bar.

The hotel is open 365 days a year to residents, and as you take the private road along the edge of the golf course up to the hotel, you will get a feel for the peaceful seclusion and history of the place.

‘Country home’ lodges

More a timber house than a conventional log cabin, the holiday homes at Kenwick Woods are from Pine Lodges’ ‘Country Homes’ range.

Each lodge combines careful design, first-class materials and high standards of manufacture to create a stylish, durable property.

Manufactured to a design and specification used for centuries in the hostile environment of Scandinavia and Northern Europe, the concept has been further enhanced by modern design and building technology.

Mature kiln-dried and treated, double tongued and grooved interlocking 75mm x 150mm logs, cut from the heart of the trees are used throughout. The natural characteristics of the logs provide natural insulation, keeping the lodge warm in winter and cool in summer.

Double glazed doors and windows come as standard, and the lodges have a 10-year guarantee as standard.

The Kenwick Woods site has been carefully thought out to provide every lodge with space and privacy.

Each home stands on its own woodland plot and has two car parking spaces and a gravel pathway. The open plan living areas provide a spacious and comfortable living space, with French windows leading out onto a decked, verandah-covered patio.

The extensive accommodation includes a fully fitted kitchen, spacious bedrooms (with an en-suite), a separate bathroom and utility room.

You can choose from the Keats two-bedroom, the Wordsworth three-bedroom or Tennyson three-bedroom lodges. Prices start at £153,900 for the Keats lodge and rise to £178,200 for the Tennyson lodge.

A site plan, as well as comprehensive details of each lodge, are available from Pine Lodges UK and the friendly staff will be happy to show you around the estate.

Once you have moved in you can explore the Lincolnshire Wolds and its Georgian market towns.

Louth is less than one mile away and the historic cathedral city of Lincoln is just a short drive. You are close to the east coast, and for sports enthusiasts, Market Rasen racecourse and the Cadwell Park motor racing circuit are close by.
