Win natural pet goodies from Webbox

Whether you’re travelling on an adventure or enjoying more time indoors, when you’re spending a lot of time with your pooch, you’ll no doubt want to keep them from getting too stinky! When a bath or shower might not be readily available, we’ve put together a handy guide for keeping your furry friend smelling as fresh as a daisy. 

Brush your dog regularly

Brushing your dog regularly with a fine-toothed comb or metal brush will help to remove debris from their fur and stop them from smelling. After a walk, give them a good once-over with your preferred grooming tool and remove the dirt before it becomes a problem, too.

Give your dog dental treats

Avoid your pooch getting the well-renowned ‘dog-breath’ by giving them treats and toys that are optimised for teeth cleaning. Dental chews or durable toys are a great way to keep your dog entertained whilst also promoting good oral hygiene!

Use wipes

If your pooch has got into some particularly smelly business, dog or baby wipes can be an easy alternative to a bath. Be careful to check that the brand is suitable for your dog’s skin and avoid using around the eyes, though. This is an easy way to freshen up while out and about until you can bathe your dog.

Keswick Camping and Caravanning Club Site, Cumbria

A great campsite for exploring the northern Lake District, with walking trails accessible directly from the site itself. This club site is on the shores of Derwentwater and you can enjoy dog-friendly boat rides on the lake. There are grass and hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up, a play area, toilets and showers, a washing up area and a laundry. The Paddock at Robsons

Situated alongside a motorhome and caravan dealership in the heart of County Durham, The Paddock has 18 pitches with electric hook-up. Facilities include waste water and chemical disposal points, and a shower and toilet block. There is access to the river from the campsite and many walks. The Paddock is located a few minutes’ drive from Hamsterly Forest, where miles of walks await.
