Wellhouse Leisure campervan helps to raise over £1.13 million for Children In Need

A Toyota Proace Matino campervan, donated by campervan converter Wellhouse Leisure, helped to raise over £1.13 million for this year's BBC Children In Need appeal.

The campervan, worth £49,000 and donated in conjunction with Toyota, was part of a text-to-win 'Campervan and Staycation Goodies’ prize package, which also included annual membership and 12 weekend breaks courtesy of the Caravan and Motorhome Club, Caravan Guard insurance, outdoor sports equipment from Decathlon Sports, gift cards, vouchers, family attraction passes and much, much more. £1,134,580

The winner has been informed and Wellhouse Leisure looks forward to handing over the campervan in the coming weeks.

David Elliott, CEO and founder of Wellhouse Leisure, commented: “I must admit that we all felt quite emotional when we found out that our campervan had helped to raise over £1 million for the BBC Children in Need’s 2020 Appeal. This year they raised a total of £41 million, which is an impressive amount of money to help change children and young people’s lives, and we are incredibly proud to have been a part of it.

The Toyota Proace Matino is a four-berth campervan with two double beds, one of which can be found in the pop-up roof. It has kitchen with fridge, sink and gas cooker; leather upholstery; LED mood lighting; programmable heating; an 80W solar panel for off-grid camping; metallic paint; sat-nav and a 2.0-litre, 120bhp turbo-diesel engine.
