Website attracts record numbers to its motorhomes for sale section

The outandaboutlive.co.uk website, which has a dedicated section featuring over 4,700 new and used motorhomes and campervans for sale, is attracting a record number of new visitors.

According to the latest figures, the number of new visitors coming to the site to search for their new or replacement motorhome or campervan has jumped significantly compared to the same period last year, indicating both the growing attraction of the website and a growing demand from buyers for new and used models.

All the leading motorhome and campervan dealers now advertise their models for sale on the website, as do hundreds of private sellers, which means visitors have an unrivalled choice of private and professional sellers all on the same website.

According to data on visitor use, many people coming to the site start by researching models in the reviews section before moving onto the ‘for sale’ section. There are currently over 1,450 in-depth motorhome and campervan reviews of the site – more than any other website – and more reviews are added weekly.

Many visitors also jump between the two sections so they can read what MMM, Campervan and What Motorhome magazines’ expert reviewers wrote about a particular model that they have seen advertised in the for sale section.

The website also offers visitors the chance to sign up to free e-newsletters, which feature the latest motorhome news, reviews and offers. These have proved so popular that a record 30% more people signed up for these unique e-newsletters than during the same period last year.

Looking more in-depth at what motorhomes and campervans people are searching for on the website, the data shows that front lounge low-profile layouts remain the most popular with fixed bed and island bed models coming close behind.

In terms of value, it is motorhomes costing between £50,000 and £59,000 that are top of visitors’ search criteria with those costing between £30,000 and £50,000 coming a close second.

While new 2019/20 models top the searchers’ preference for the age of motorhomes and campervans for sale, the website has also seen a growth in searches for models aged between two and five years old and there remains a strong interest in models aged up to 10 years old suggesting the demand for used models continues to strengthen.
