Vantage Motorhomes to hold appointment-only factory tours and open days

Leeds-based motorhome manufacturer, Vantage Motorhomes, is holding Covid-19-safe factory tours and open days throughout September and October.

Following the announcement that The Motorhome & Caravan Show, usually held at Birmingham's NEC in October, has been cancelled for 2020, Vantage Motorhomes decided to showcase its vehicles in other ways, including appointment-only factory tours and the chance to meet with the manufacturer direct, rather than going through dealers. There will even be a week-long event taking place at the time of the cancelled show, on October 13-17, 2020.

The first Vantage at Home event starts on September 18-19 and provides an opportunity to go behind the scenes and speak with those who build the motorhomes.

Michael Hardicker, MD of Vantage Motorhomes, said: "The NEC shows are always extremely busy, and we often don’t get to spend as much time as we’d like with customers. Of course, it’s disappointing that the show had to be cancelled but we are going to take the opportunity and show off some of the things we can’t take to the NEC.

"Seeing the manufacturing process is a bit of a revelation for some customers and they really come to understand what makes a Vantage special. We can also have a full display of vehicles, more than are usually on display at the NEC."

Safety at the events will be the manufacturer's top priority, as Michael added: "There are different areas throughout the factory and inside and outside of the showroom that are well spaced out and there’ll be several of the team on hand to help. There will be ongoing sanitising, social distancing and provision of masks, etc. Safety is a priority and you can trust Vantage to put customer safety first."
