Trio of awards for Lamilux Sunsation
The Bavarian-based manufacturer of fibre-reinforced composites, Lamilux Composites, is celebrating three award wins for its Lamilux Sunsation gelcoat technology
Designed to provide long-lasting UV resistance for GRP (glass-fibre reinforced panels) used in the construction of motorhomes and caravans, Lamilux Sunsation is said to provide up to 20 times better UV-resistance than other gelcoats currently available on the market, helping to retain rich colours and maximum gloss.
The gelcoat technology can be combined with almost all Lamilux composites.
Lamilux’s product won the German Innovation Award just after its launch in 2022, followed by a first-place win in the Innovative Products and Applications category in the AVK Innovation Prize, an award given by German industry association Verstärkte Kunststoffe (Reinforced Plastics). More recently, Lamilux Sunsation was also given a German Design Award, with a special mention in the awards’ Excellent Product Design category.
