Thetford launches new products for motorhomes

Thetford has announced a whole range of new products for the 2019 season for motorhomes and campervans, from cookers and ovens to fridges and toilets.

Firstly, the C500 toilet gets a new look; the control panel and seat have both been changed, both of which can be retro-fitted to existing C500 toilets. The new control panel comes in three different versions, to mirror the three versions of the outgoing C500 panel (C502-C is part 9072562, C502-X is part 9072462 and C503-L is part 9072362). The new seat and lid can be ordered as part of the C500 Fresh-up Set, which also supplies a new cassette. You can also now order a C220 Fresh-up Set too.

For your motorhome or campervan's kitchen, Thetford has introduced a new full cooker, the K1520, which is around 10% lighter that the company’s other similar products. Manufacturers fitting this as original equipment can also select an aluminium grill cavity for the lightest option. This is the first fan-assisted motorhome oven in Europe, which should create a more even temperature with cooking times and heat up times decreased.

The K1520 comes as gas-only with a four-gas-burner hob, or as dual fuel with three gas burners and an electric hotplate. Dealer fit versions are slightly different to the OEM ones fitted by motorhome manufacturers, so check the specification carefully before deciding if you want to upgrade.

You can now also get a new 525mm wide oven to match the 525mm fridge from Thetford, which has a top hinged door to improve access when the oven is mounted above the fridge.

In the food cooling department the interior of the three-way (gas, mains, 12V) N3000 fridge has been changed. There are now two transparent vegetable drawers at the bottom, meaning one can be slid out when the door is not fully open. The door pockets are now transparent, too, while movable shelf lips can help keep items in place.

The N3170 and 3175 can be ordered with an extra slide-out box for sandwich or breakfast items, minimising the amount of time the door is open when taking multiple items out of the fridge.

Finally, the compressor fridge series gets a new model. The T1152 is a 152-litre unit working off 12V and mains only. Basically it needs the same amount of space as the three-way N3140 but can offer 10-litres more space inside and is 3kg lighter at 34kg.
