Motorhome manufacturer, Laika, has launched a new Portofino Pack on its Kreos motorhomes

All Laika’s Kreos coachbuilt motorhomes – in both low-profile and A-class body styles (except the flagship Iveco-based 8000 models) – will now come to the UK with a higher than ever level of standard equipment.

This is thanks to the introduction of the Portofino Pack, named after the Italian Mediterranean resort famous for luxury yachts.

The specification of the new pack was decided by Laika’s British dealers, Camper UK in Lincoln and Emm Bee in Lancashire, in consultation with the Italian manufacturer which is part of the Erwin Hymer Group.

In addition to the increased spec, Portofino Pack models have a heavy chassis and automatic gearbox as standard.

The pack will be fitted to 3000, 4000, 5000 and 7000 models in the Kreos line-up.

On the 3000 and 4000 models, for example, it will add a 4,250kg chassis, 140bhp engine upgrade, automatic transmission, Eco Pack, 16in alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, leather steering wheel, chrome-coloured dashboard trim, radio/CD with 5in touchscreen, DAB aerial, front foglamps, Truma Combi 6EH gas/electric heating, an awning, TV holder, carpets, external shower and reversing camera.

The Portofino Pack has a retail price of between £9,850 and £13,400, depending on model, taking the range of on-the-road prices for Kreos motorhomes (with the pack) to between £81,050 (Kreos 3008) and £110,500 (Kreos 7009 and 7012).
