Motorhome accessories and parts manufacturer and supplier, Dometic, acquires Kampa for £50m

Motorhome parts and accessories manufacturer and supplier, Dometic, has acquired Kampa, the UK-based outdoor leisure company and retailer, for £50m to broaden its retail and aftermarket presence here.

Kampa specialises in innovative lightweight and inflatable awnings, outdoor rooms and tents.

Dometic said the acquisition will strengthen and expand its position in the retail and aftermarket areas through new products, a broader distribution network and strong market presence

Kampa, which is based in Essex and has a distribution warehouse in The Netherlands, is expected to report sales of £40 million in 2018.

Such acquisitions and expansion has been a strategic priority for Dometic, as it offers attractive market dynamics, strong earnings potential and good opportunities for further expansion.

Kampa fulfills all those prerequisites.
