Just Kampers reports a change in campervan demographics

The number of women and younger people making campervan purchases has dramatically increased thanks to the vanlife trend, according to VW parts supplier Just Kampers

In 2019, Just Kampers’ average customer was male and aged between 45 and 54, falling into the more traditional representation of a campervanner.

But there has been a shift in demographic over the coronavirus pandemic, which has led to transactions from 18 to 24-year-olds increasing by 868% over this period, the biggest growth category of all demographics.

Just Kampers puts these changes down to the rise of trends like #vanlife and an increase in the popularity of staycations since the pandemic.
