Hymer revises its Fiat campervans

Hymer is making changes across its Fiat campervan range, after six years on sale. The Ayers Rock, Yosemite, Grand Canyon and Yellowstone are all revised, with the Yellowstone getting a new swivelling washroom

The other models retain their existing floorplans, while two different interior styles are offered on the 2023-season models, which go on sale next spring.

Materials including cork and ceramics are featured, while heat and noise-insulating felt lining helps to optimise insulation and warm air circulation.

Other innovations include what Hymer calls the “first comprehensive four-level lighting concept in a campervan”. The interior lights are each equipped with a warm white/cold white and dimming function. There are new reading lights with touch controls above the driver and front passenger seats and, as an option, customers can also choose a lighting package with innovative pendant lights and modular lights for the multifunctional wall.

A Skyview overcab sunroof option has been added for all models, even those fitted with the optional pop-top, and the new travel lounge seating group incorporates tilt adjustment.

In the bedroom, the Lattoflex sleeping comfort system is based on a flexible mattress with integrated disc springs to offer maximum comfort.

Then, for those seeking off-grid capability, an optional self-sufficiency package with a lithium battery capacity of up to 240Ah, two 95W solar panels and an inverter will offer increased independence when travelling.

Finally, in the redesigned rear area of the vehicles, valuable storage space has been gained by fitting an underslung fresh water tank, which is insulated and heated as standard. Together with the battery tray under the rear of the vehicle, this is said to ensure optimal weight distribution and improved driving dynamics.
