Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld prepares to re-open motorhome dealership doors

Staffordshire-based motorhome dealer Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld is to re-open its doors for appointment-only viewings by June 1, in line with government advice.

The premises will remain closed for the rest of May, while staff prepare the dealership for re-opening with appropriate social distancing measures in place, and ensuring PPE is available to all staff and customers. 

The Staffordshire-based motorhome dealership is also expanding the use of ozone generators to help sterilise all of the interiors of its stock vehicles. The dealer has used these machines for years to prepare its motorhomes as they get rid of odours, but they also have the added benefit of killing bacteria and help with disinfecting surfaces.

As part of an extensive safe reopening plan, Travelworld will be using the ozone generators on all of its stock motorhomes as well as all 'vans being collected from sales and service. Other measures include deep cleaning the premises before customers can return as well as more regular cleaning throughout the day, particularly on 'high contact' points. Social distancing measures to be employed include a one-way walking system and Perspex screens in face-to-face areas.

The ozone machines are a massive bonus for us to sanitise each vehicle before reopening. We want our staff and customers to know that we are enforcing all measures to keep them safe.”
