Book now for summer motorhome rental holidays

With the news of the latest plan to ease lockdown restrictions, motorhome and campervan hire firm, Goboony, is advising anyone looking to rent a motorhome this summer to book now.

Goboony connects motorhome owners with holidaymakers across Europe, a little like Airbnb, and has reported a 30% surge in UK summer bookings. The rental company actually saw a 300% year-on-year increase on bookings in 2020. Factor in the rolling bookings from covid-postponed trips and increased interest for holidaying at home in self-contained accommodation, and the demand is likely to be strong for summer 2021.

There’s a seasonality to the booking types too with more short breaks and weekends planned for the spring months and longer trips trending for the summer months.

Not only are people booking motorhomes to rekindle their love for the UK, but as we saw last summer, many booked the vehicles as a way to reconnect and stay with family and friends at a safe distance.”
