Bailey introduces special edition Alliance motorhome range

British manufacturer, Bailey, has revealed a new special edition of its Alliance coachbuilt motorhome range, called the Silver Edition.

The range will be available in seven layouts (from two-berth to six-berth) and will based on a 3,500kg Peugeot Boxer powered by a six-speed160bhp engine and on an Al-Ko chassis.

All are built using Bailey’s patented Alu-Tech construction technology, cloaked in a GRP outer skin, which has been visually enhanced with the introduction of a new silver-coloured cab, complete with LED daytime running lights and 16” alloy wheels plus a new co-ordinating Silver Edition graphics scheme.

In the habitation area, buyers get Bailey’s ‘Eucalyptus’ finish furniture and ‘Natural Slate’ finish worktops and splashbacks, plus new Finchley soft furnishings.

All seven Silver Edition models get Truma’s Combi 4E heating system, which coupled with the construction methods, ensure all models have the highest rating for thermal performance (Grade III).

As befitting a special edition range, there are many extras fitted as standard, including a Fiamma F45S wind-out awning, Truma 100W solar panel, Status TV aerial, Dometic reversing camera (linked to the cab screen display), exterior 230V and BBQ points plus a spare wheel and tyre (steel wheel) on a floor-mounted carrier.

In the cab, there are twin swivel captain’s seats with dual arm rests, Peugeot’s sat-nav system, air-conand cruise control all as standard, as are safety features such as ABS, ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and driver and passenger airbags.

Thanks to Bailey’s crash-testing programme, all its motorhomes have the extra support of chassis outriggers to strengthened floors, as well as stronger fittings for items such as ovens and fridges, plus steel-framed seat base supports for all travel seats and a steel-framed structural bulkhead to support rear-facing designated travel seats.
