Autohaus campervans available at Campersales

You'll now be able to find Autohaus models at West Sussex-based campervan specialist, Campersales. The Somerset-built campers will join a line-up that also includes Westfalia and HymerCar. Campersales’ other key area of expertise is Volkswagen’s California. It always has a supply of pre-owned examples of this iconic camper for sale.

Vehicles that fill a gap in Campersales’ previous offering include the VW-based Ashton and Spartan, especially as they can provide three-person rear seats.

Campersales co-founder Rob Williams explains: “We’ve seen sustained growth in our business over the past few years and moving to larger premises some two years ago has given us the opportunity to expand our horizons. Autohaus also produces rear lounge models, which our German brands do not offer. Also, Autohaus’ latest model, the Ford Transit-based GT Spartan, with its sub-£40,000 starting price, looks superb value.”

He details the background to taking on Autohaus: “I’ve met Tony (Payne, Autohaus’ boss) a few times over the past five years at various shows. We’ve taken a few of its models in part-exchange and recognised the quality, innovation and type approval. Plus, all its vehicles are NCC (National Caravan Council) approved.

“The used Autohaus models we have sold to date haven’t been any trouble preparing and, if we have needed any advice, Autohaus has been very open and helpful – which is always a good test for us. So, the company has been on our radar as an up-and-coming manufacturer that follows the right legislation and produces quality campers.”

Autohaus managing direct Tony Payne adds: “I like doing business with people I like. So, when Rob asked if I would supply Campersales I jumped at the chance. I like Campersales’ professional approach and the way the businesses is set up, as well as its location. London and the south-east of England represents a great opportunity for us.”

Campersales, based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, was founded (as VW Campersales) in 2000 by husband and wife team Rob and Zoe Williams.
