NEW 2019 Geist motorhomes
Here are the new motorhomes launched by Geist for the 2019 season, as seen in 'The Essential Guide to 2019 Motorhomes and Campervans'...
Geist Explorer Comfort I 585 motorhome
- Price from: £71,995
- Base vehicle: Fiat Ducato 2.3l
- Layout: End kitchen
- Berths: 2/4
- Travel seats: 4
- Gross weight: 3,500kg
- Payload: 735kg
The Geist range is built exclusively for Camper UK by LMC, part of the Erwin Hymer Group. The Geist Explorer Comfort I 585 is a luxury, compact A-class motorhome from LMC, but actually built in the Bürstner factory near Strasbourg! The Geist range represents fabulous quality with their 12-year water ingress warranty and Long-Life Technology.
In a pledge to drive motorhome technology forward, Geist no longer relies on a framework made of wood, but instead uses JACKODUR® XPS foam and PU struts to not only give you unrivalled insulation and energy savings, but far better stability and torsional stiffness, too.
The Geist Explorer Comfort I 585 is the TARDIS of motorhomes! Standing at just 5.99m in length and having no fixed bed, the I585 feels spacious and has a generous living area. The end bathroom layout also gives this compact motorhome a roomy feeling as well as offering the luxury of a separate shower cubicle rather than a wet room. The kitchen area, although compact, packs a punch for its size, boasting a tripple-burner gas hob, Dometic oven/grill and 140-litre Thetford fridge/freezer with a bottle drawer.
The manual drop-down bed at the front of the motorhome takes only a few seconds to get into place and is a full-sized double bed (195cm x 143cm), which can be left made up when stowed away. Whilst the bed is made up, the living area can still be used, which means if one person goes to bed, it doesn’t mean everybody has to!
The I 585 also has the coveted under-3.5-tonne weight limit, which means it can be driven on a standard UK licence and you still have nearly three quarters of a tonne of payload for your holiday gear.
Geist Explorer Premier I 650 G motorhome
- Price from: £78,795
- Base vehicle: Fiat Ducato 2.3l
- Layout: U-shaped rear lounge
- Berths: 4
- Travel seats: 4
- Gross weight: 3,500kg
- Payload: 475kg
The Explorer Premium I 650 G is the most popular vehicle in the Geist range with its spacious living area and fantastic U-shaped lounge. This combination of U-shaped lounge and no fixed bed gives a fantastic living space but without the pain of having to make up a bed each night with the full-sized double drop-down bed at the front of the vehicle.
The large garage is electrically adjustable and gives you maximum space whilst travelling with your camping equipment stored, it can be lowered when you arrive and unpack, making the most of internal living space. The I 650 G also comes with a large 140-litre fridge/freezer with a bottle drawer and an oven/grill as well as a tripple-burner gas hob.
The white gloss finish gives the motorhome a light and airy feel whilst boasting strong German build quality. All of this comes under 3.5 tonnes whilst still giving you 475kg of payload.
Geist Explorer Premier I 710 motorhome
- Price from: £78,495
- Base vehicle: Fiat Ducato 2.3l
- Layout: End bathroom with fixed single beds
- Berths: 4
- Travel seats: 4
- Gross weight: 3,500kg
- Payload: 402kg
The Geist Explorer Premium I 710 is the longest motorhome in the Geist range and the only model with a fixed bed. The end bathroom layout with two single fixed beds is a fantastic use of space and comes with bags of overhead storage. The spacious end bathroom comes with a toilet, sink and separate shower cubicle. This gives the motorhome a very wide and spacious feel as there is no side bathroom invading the living space.
There is also a drop-down bed over the driver’s cabin for extra visitors and a compact L-shaped kitchen comprising of a triple-burner gas hob, an oven/grill and Geist’s signature 140-litre fridge/freezer with a bottle drawer.
Standing at 7.35 metres long and weighing just 3,500kg (with the ability to upgrade if required), the Explorer Premium I710 is a truly well-thought-out A-class motorhome and still gives you 402kg of payload without compromising on quality.
