Motorhome accessory review: Outwell Colibri Lux Double Sleeping Bag

69f7450c-839d-4def-be13-0b2f07452b5b

The world is divided into two types (yes, just two). Those who like proper bedding (sheets and duvet, etc) and those who prefer a sleeping bag, but here we have something that offers the best of both worlds…

The benefit of sleeping bags, of course, is that you can easily roll them up and stow them in the motorhome (this one comes with a zipped carry bag). Unlike single sleeping bags that can be claustrophobic and leave you feeling like you’re being hugged by an anaconda, this double bag is much more like a duvet.

By removing the hooded section (which has built-in pillow pockets) you can also open it up fully to use it as a duvet, and fold-out wings give a width of 1.90m. In sleeping bag guise, there’s an internal fleece-lined foot pocket that increases the snuggle-factor in winter while an opening pocket means you can poke your tootsies out in summer.

It’s fully machine washable, weighs 4.8kg and has a pack size of 54cm by 54cm by 36cm. Priced at £149.99.
