Get to know... Somerset Motorhome Centre

c18d7cce-0255-4a0a-9ee6-811f386541ac

Established in 2008, Somerset Motorhome Centre’s primary aim was to focus on selling quality used motorhomes and that ethos continues today.

Founder, Tom Lower, is still at the helm and has over 30 years of experience selling motorhomes.

Located on a pleasant site near the village of Thornfalcon, near Taunton, Somerset Motorhome Centre is easily found, being only a couple of miles from junction 25 of the M5 motorway.

Once there you’ll find between 50 and 80 secondhand motorhomes, ranging from compact coachbuilts to large A-classes.

Tom and his team have over 50 years of combined experience within the industry and he says this helps the company to stand out from the crowd.

“We have seen many different approaches to sales by various dealers and this is where we know we are different. Our team of knowledgeable and experienced advisors are there on hand should you require any help or guidance whilst browsing,” he says.

“We have listened to our customers over the years and know the importance of being left alone to view, knowing there is help and advice at hand, should you require it.”

Motorhomes are sourced from all over the country, through both trade contacts and motorhomers looking to sell. All are sold with a new MoT, a mechanical service, as well as a habitation check and a comprehensive in-house (not manufacturer or insurance-backed) warranty.

Both part-exchange and finance are offered and there is a handy calculator on the company’s website, which shows costs.

Somerset Motorhome Centre's purpose-built workshopThe dealer also has a purpose-built service centre with in-house qualified technicians to carry out work.

Its location, just a few miles away, at Higher Durston, also doubles up as the collection centre for buyers.
