About Fleurette motorhomes

Fleurette made its first folding caravan in 1967, with motorhomes following a decade later. The company has even dabbled in boats, on the back of its expertise in polyester moulding, and built its first A-class in 2007. Sister brand, Florium, offers the same layouts as Fleurette but with more contemporary design, while the factory in the Vendée is also home to Stylevan campervans and some Westfalia models.

Magister’s mid-range models have four layouts, of which this layout is the most compact. It also appears in the corresponding Mayflower range, too, offering a different interior look.

There are three distinct living areas: lounge, kitchen and rear washroom. As is the norm with this new breed of motorhomes not offering fixed beds, the bed drops down from above the lounge when night-time calls.

The lounge, with its two inward-facing sofas, is very spacious and has a central fixed table for dining (although it also folds in half for easier movement). This table lowers to allow the lounge seating to be made into a second double bed (1.30m by 2.00m). There are also two travel seats possible here.

If you don’t need this extra bed, the drop-down bed can lower all the way to seat level, making access much easier. The bed itself measures 1.90m by 1.50m and has a slatted base with a high-resilience foam mattress.

The kitchen has a large 150-litre fridge (which automatically selects the power source) and plenty of storage, but the real star of the show is the washroom. There is a large shower, oodles of wardrobe space with multiple shelves, and plenty of floor space to make a roomy dressing area.

Underneath that large wardrobe and accessed externally, is a large storage area for your bikes, outdoor furniture and camping essentials.

Standard equipment is comprehensive and includes a wide entrance door with LED entry light, space for two 13kg gas bottles, pre-wiring for a reversing camera and TV, and a 100Ah leisure battery.

The Comfort Pack is also fitted as standard and it has a whole host of kit including the Duo Control for the gas system, roof rack, TV bracket, passenger airbag and cruise control, as well as much more.

Combine this very UK-friendly layout with Fleurette construction and you get a very desirable end product.

New for this year, Discover A-classes (and Wincester models, too) see a revised design for the front face. The windscreen is both higher and straighter, offering the driver a better view of the road, while dual side mirrors are now in place to limit blind spots.

There is also a heads-up display of the on-board instruments thanks to a new option, the Navision High Pack.

A distinctive grille sits between new LED headlights to replace last year’s halogen ones. Plus, there are new windscreen wipers with integrated washer nozzles.

A large habitation door leads into a space that has 1.98m of headroom. Underfoot is an insulated and heated double floor covered by walnut wood.

In terms of layout, up front the cab seats swivel around to join in with two inward facing sofas, which is often called the face-to-face lounge.

The beauty of this seating arrangement is to create a much more open feel to the living areas, mirroring today’s desire for open-plan living spaces in our homes.

An island bed is located at the rear, and it's now grown in length, for taller motorhomers, or those who just like to stretch out at night.

The washroom and kitchen are centrally located and both see improvements for the 2022 season, with the former getting a redesigned shower door and the latter new kitchen drawers.

This model in the Discover range is available as a Cristal edition (note that this does not apply to Florium Wincester models).

This special edition package includes the more powerful (6kW) Truma Combi heating and hot water system with electric operation as well as gas, plus the front fascia gets a chrome grille. The cab sees the addition of a leather steering wheel and controls, while interiors benefit from a special Emocuir upholstery option, as well as ‘Cristallin’ curtains and cushions.
