Essential Guide to 2021 motorhomes – Hymer motorhomes and campervans
Hymer B-Class Masterline T 780 motorhome
The new B-Class MasterLine T 780 is a luxury addition to the flagship range of German premium motorhome manufacturer, Hymer.
It combines a sleek, sporty appearance with an agile and comfortable drive – not to mention a cosy and well-appointed interior.
The B-ML T 780 is a two-berth low-profile that uses Hymer’s exclusive SLC chassis coupled to the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cab.
The spacious layout mirrors that of its A-class sibling – the B-ML I 780 – twin 2m-long single beds at the rear with a spacious shower room at the foot of one bed and the washroom at the other.
In front of the sleeping area is the kitchen, which features a three-burner hob, sink and wardrobe as well as a 153-litre fridge/freezer.
At the front is an L-shaped lounge with two forward-facing travel seats and a single seat alongside the habitation door. Although it is a two-berth it does have the option for a third berth to be made up from the lounge.
The designers have gone for a modern colour scheme throughout the interior, super-matt white contrasting with darker touches of colour to create a cosy environment, enhanced by the dimmable, multilevel ambient lighting.
For extra privacy, the living area can be partitioned off from the sleeping area.
The B-ML T 780’s aerodynamic T-hood helps with drivability and also has a positive impact on fuel consumption.
The six-speed manual gearbox (or the new nine-speed automatic) allows comfortable cruising speeds with low engine noise. Various safety systems are fitted as standard.
The new low-profile is just short of 8m long (7.89m) and is 2.35m wide and it sits on a 4,430kg chassis as standard, which can be upgraded to 4,500kg for extra payload.
The garage, with a payload of up to 450kg, provides lots of storage space for luggage and camping gear – there’s enough room to store a moped if required.

The kitchen contains a 152-litre fridge, three-burner stove and an extra deep sink, with tight-fitting chopping board and high-quality water tap. The interior is stylishly designed, with a Sauvignon Oak finish to the furniture.
To the front, the T-Class S 680 features the popular half-dinette lounge, with an inward facing seat to maximise relaxing space.
