Swift move into Residential market with full BS3632 Champagne model

The Swift Group, Britain's largest caravan, motorhome and holiday home manufacturer, has announced it will enter the Residential market with the launch of the Champagne Lodge, an upgrade to company's top of the range Champagne holiday home, now built to full BS3632 Residential specification, at the Birmingham Spring Caravan and Camping Show at the NEC from February 19th to 24th.

In recent years, the Swift Group has become a leading manufacturer in the HolidayHome market, despite the financial climate, through building innovative, desirable and well-designed holiday homes that set the standard in quality, specification and value for money.

The new Champagne Lodge offers people wanting to downsize or move from a conventional home the chance to buy into real luxury living from only £62,495 (excluding transporting, commissioning, & siting). As well as being able to live in all year round (subject to a park licence), full residential specification also has the advantage of being 0% VAT rated on the construction element, which could save you thousands of pounds when the 5% VAT rate comes in on the 1st April for standard holiday homes.

"Many residential homes now cost almost as much as a conventional bricks and mortar home and with a deflated housing market are too expensive for many people to make a move to the sort of low maintenance easy lifestyle that living in a modern residential home can provide. As most people looking for this sort of home are either a couple or single the Champagne Lodge provides stylish living and all the space and features many people require," Nick Page Commercial Director of the Swift Group commented.

The upgrade to Residential specification delivers an increase in the standard of insulation to 60mm Superglass 32 paper faced glasswool, and roof insulation to 100mm Superglass 32 cladding, a larger Beko Fridge Freezer and a condensing type gas boiler. The home is built on a more substantial Bankside twin axle Beam Chassis.

This gives the advantage of better thermal insulation to help reduce running costs and better sound insulation for quieter living.

Standard features on the Champagne Lodge include exterior walls, clad with CanExcel boarding in a choice of three colours, by ‘Thermaglas’ double glazing, ‘Aspect’ sliding doors, ‘Driftwood’ woodgrain, combined with the latest designer fabrics, ultra-low energy LED lighting throughout, domestic type gas central heating and a 5-burner hob with central Wok burner.

See the new Champagne Lodge on stand number 4350 at the NEC and watch this space for more news on residential specification homes from Swift later this year.
