Parks gain from flight fears

Don Amott Leisure Kingdom, which owns five holiday parks in on the East Coast, has recorded a 70 per cent uplift in its UK holiday home business since last month’s increase in airport security.

The boom relates to outright sales of its fully fitted, luxury holiday homes as well as bookings for caravan park holidays.

The company owns five exclusive caravan parks in Lincolnshire, including its flag-ship Lakeside Park at North Somercotes and Nettleton Park near Caistor.

“Our figures for August showed a massive increase in enquires from families wanting to invest in their own holiday retreat at one of our East Coast parks,” said Group chairman, Don Amott.

“It seems that, with the recent uncertainties about air travel, UK destinations are very much back in fashion. And people are looking for somewhere they can call their own and that they can visit anytime they like.”

The parks offer the finest facilities and have been beautifully landscaped to provide relaxing and safe environments. Most parks provide leisure facilities for the whole family including tennis courts, golf courses, bowling greens, well-stocked fishing lakes, shops, restaurants and bars. Lakeside Park and Nettleton Park both feature Tropical indoor swimming pools.
