COSY NEW PARK-HOME ESTATE OFFERS SEA VIEWS

7242abab-2358-471a-834b-f82ad2d9d69a
Sea views are a major attraction at the newly-developed West Bay residential park at Watchet in Somerset.

With just 16 plots spread across 2½ acres, it is located on the cliff top, providing a magnificent panorama of the Bristol Channel.
Barton Park Homes, who have eight parks in total, took over West Bay in 2005 and have completely redeveloped the estate.
The park has been laid out with open-plan gardens, small shingle strips to the front and lawns at the back. Some 250 beech trees have been planted during the development. Traditional street lamps add a nice touch.
Each home has its own block-paved parking space, some big enough to take two cars.
Plot fees are £140 per calendar month including water and sewerage. Electricity is metered and billed quarterly by the park; mains gas, provided by your chosen utility. Band A council tax costs £1,004 per annum. The minimum age is 50. Pets are allowed.
Watchet, with its harbour, marina and shops, is only 400 metres away. As well as a seven-days-a-week bus service (there is a stop just outside the park), the town also has its own railway station. There is a sandy beach within easy walking distance.
At the time of my visit there were four show homes sited and available for sale: a 42x18 Stately Arundel priced at £169,000; a 40x22 Stately Badminton, £175,000; a 38x20 Lissett Redwood, £185,000; and a 42x20 Lissett Forest, £190,000. There were also six vacant plots suitable for twins up to 42x22. Barton offer a part-exchange scheme.
