Stately-Albion – Something for everyone

86df18ab-155b-4bf8-8a18-f8a3e2c503e3
ALL Stately’s homes can be adapted to customers’ needs, and the company also special-ises in producing special models to the specification of park owners such as Haulfryn, North Dales and Birch’s.

The company recently launched an all-new, easy-to-use website that gives details of its homes, plus a company history, an introduction to park home living, and answers to ‘frequently asked questions’ about park homes.

A major feature is the Stately-Albion Park Finder, which will help website users find parks in their chosen area that will site Stately-Albion homes.

The standard range of Stately-Albion homes features models in a variety of styles, layouts and sizes, suitable for a variety of budgets. The company offers single units versions of its Chatsworth Silver (14ft) and Tredegar (12ft) models, plus a 12ft leisure lodge, the Seawood.

The majority of standard models are 20ft twins, however, in lengths from 40ft to 48ft. Longer versions can be built to the customer’s requirements, though, as can homes up to 22ft wide – the limit under current legislation.

The entry level park home is the Tredegar, acknowledged as one of the best budget park homes on the market.

The Pembroke has an entrance at the front end, with patio doors to the side. The ceilings to the lounge, diner and kitchen are vaulted, and there are Velux windows to the lounge and sliding doors separate the kitchen and dining room.

The Goodwood range features an arched recessed porch area to its end-placed patio doors, which give access to the lounge. The front door is to the side.

A recent design is the Carolina, which aims to combine the characteristics of a British bungalow and a Colonial-style lodge house, with a recessed veranda or porch (called a a ‘front stoop’ in the US), fronted by a wooden balustrade.

The Balmoral has Georgian-style glazing and a grand entrance porch beneath a pitched dormer, with corner-stones and coach lamps adding stylish effect. The front door has a glazed panel beside it, and there are patio doors, too.

The distinctive appearance of the Cardigan Cottage – with chimney stack feature on its stepped gable end – is unmistakeable. The Carmarthen, on the other hand, is more modern in appearance, with an end elevation of tall windows and patio doors and a sun room with vaulted ceilings.

Finally, the Chatsworth range includes Silver, Gold and Platinum models, the latter featuring a wide pillared porch and a look that would not be out of place on any upmarket executive estate.

Stately Albion’s leisure home range includes the Chatsworth Lodge, a timber-clad variation on the park home, with huge box bays and the distinctive pitched dormer over the front door.

The Lakewood Lodge (pictured above) is a sophisticated model with a built-in corner verandah and lots of large win-dows so its residents to take in the views.

The Seawood is a single unit timber-clad model, with the whole of its front elevation, including cut-off corners and patio doors, fully glazed.

See the homes and take the train

If you want to see some Stately-Albion homes, and have a great day out, visit the company’s showground, which adjoins the visitor centre at Kirklees Light Railway.

Trains run on a four-mile narrow guage line and the terminus has a shop and café, miniature railway and picnic area. Trains run at weekends and during school holidays, and there are events such as Thomas the Tank Engine days.

The showground beside Clayton West Station has six homes at present: Carmarthen 44x20,  Chatsworth Gold 46x20, Tredegar 46x20, Pembroke 46x22, Lakewood 40x20, Seawood 38x12.

The show centre is open 7 days a week, 10am to 4pm. For a detailed discussion with one of the sales team, please telephone in advance.

The Show Centre and Kirklees Light Railway are at Park Mill Road, Clayton West, Huddersfield HD8 9XJ, tel: 01484 865727, website: www.kirkleeslightrailway.com.
