Doe Wood

31060078-d0be-4139-a29d-4b5583dff05e
IN a prime location on the Cumbrian coast, a part of the country described by Countryfile’s John Craven as a ‘hidden gem’, Doe Wood offers a real touch of luxury in one of the most stunning parts of the UK.

Doe Wood is just a five minute walk away from the sea, but drive 20 minutes and you can be on the shores of spectacular Lake Windermere. The whole site is terraced, so that every lodge is south facing and can enjoy the stunning views over Morecambe Bay. All of the park’s lodges are finished to a very high standard, and you can tailor your holiday home to suit your needs, creating your own unique holiday retreat.

The park is about getting away from it all, so rather than overwhelm visitors with too many on-site facilities, it takes advantage of the excellent local amenities already on offer, including a delightful farm shop and thriving local twice-weekly market.

All the surrounding land is owned by the park, so there is real feeling of spaciousness. “It is all about peace, tranquillity, stunning views and plenty of space,” say the park owners. “Our aim is simple – to build a park that we would want to have a lodge on.”
