Beetham Holiday Homes

f3b40ba3-92c2-4062-955f-f3fc37321e42
IF you are looking for a retreat or holiday home that will provide peace and tranquillity in a natural woodland and meadow setting, then Beetham Holiday Homes could be just the place. The park has been acknowledged as one of the best in the country, and carries a 5-star English Tourism Council pendant and the David Bellamy Gold Star Award for commitment to conservation and the environment.

Every pitch has a secluded, naturally hedged patio and views to woodland, splendid trees or open meadow. The privacy and natural character of each pitch is what often surprises the visitor, and is what those with holiday homes on the park most value.

Beetham Holiday Homes has been developed to incorporate the natural features of limestone pavements and wildflower meadows. With ongoing careful conservation of the flora and fauna, the management seeks to preserve and help develop appreciation of the natural beauty of the surroundings.

The park was originally set up in 1969 and is still run by the Russell family to provide a secluded haven for those wanting to relax and enjoy nature.

There is an adventure playground and dedicated areas for ball games and children’s activities on the park. So as to make the most of the peace and quiet that this natural haven provides, the management has deliberately sought not to build a pool, on-site bar or café.

The park is set in a woodland of mature oaks and yews, spindle berry, buckthorn and coppiced hazel. There is an abundance of wild flowers, including several species of orchid, and wild roses.

Birdwatchers will love the RSPB’s Leighton Moss bird sanctuary. Bittern, bearded tit, avocet and marsh harriers are resident or regular visitors here.

From the park it is a short drive to Kendal. The town provides a thriving shopping centre and access to the creative cultural hub for South Lakeland. Milnthorpe, Carnforth and Morecambe are all within easy reach.
