What happens if your caravan is unusable on site?

4085d5c7-7322-4b82-8010-7d8e675914b0

Advice from CoverMyWheels.com

Imagine you are on holiday in your caravan in the UK. But, there is a mechanical or electrical breakdown in your van making it unusable?

If you've warranty cover on your caravan, your insurer will ask you take it to the nearest approved dealer.

Next, you have to find an approved dealer, hitch up, and tow your caravan to the dealer. Then, you wait for them to repair it.

Inconvenient, isn't it?

What if the dealer had to keep your caravan overnight? Where would you stay?

That could ruin your holiday. Your caravan is unusable and you've nowhere to stay.

Peace of Mind Caravanning

There is an alternative, more relaxing situation.

What if your insurer sent an engineer to you, on site? The engineer repairs or replaces the broken parts on your caravan? No hassle. Just enjoy your holiday.

But, if your caravan was unusable on site or by the roadside? Wouldn't it be nice if your warranty provider helped with hotel vouchers?

And, if your caravan is at home and needs a repair, wouldn't it be nice if an engineer could mend or replace the parts on site too?

Caravan warranty cover that cares

That's why CoverMyWheels.com offer the caravan warranty and roadside assistance cover: peace of mind.

Warranties start from £200 and cover caravans for:

  • Up to £750 for water ingress (leaking roof) to your caravans up to 8 years old - industry standard is 7 years
  • Up to £100 in hotel accommodation vouchers if caravan or motorhome is unusable
  • Mechanical and electrical breakdown of fixed appliances (for example, cookers, refrigerators and water systems)
  • Engine components
  • Central heating system/gas boiler
  • Bathroom fittings, sanitary ware and plumbing
  • Continental use (up to 240 consecutive days)
  • Gas regulator valve covered
  • HomeStart cover
  • Access to a 24-hour customer services helpline
