UK first choice for holidays this Easter

EASTER is fast becoming a popular time to take a break in this country, according to VisitBritain.com

And an increasingly competitive holiday market ensures there are certainly bargains to be had at this time of year.
Mike Caven, operations director at one of Europe's largest parks, Bunn Leisure, said: "We're looking at a positive start to the holiday season with Easter bookings already up 14 per cent on last year.

"People are starting to acknowledge the huge range of facilities and amenities caravan parks now offer. Our parks in Chichester for example offer a gym, health spa, luxury pool and several restaurants. We've seen a steady growth over the years and the Easter period is now one of our busiest times of the year. Families in particular find that this type of holiday offers great value for money whilst offering something to entertain every member of the family".

Many advocates of the UK-based holiday insist there is plenty to see and do in the UK and that many of us simply don't realise the vast array of sights to be discovered right on our doorstep.

Mike added: "Visitors are often surprised by the amount of things to see and do in the region as well as the convenience of the parks themselves.

"Here in the South for example, visitors benefit from the park being right on the Solent plus they are within close proximity to a huge range of historical sights and entertainment facilities.

"Many visitors, even regular ones, are unaware that they are often missing out on the opportunity to visit some of Britain's most valued sights and attraction."
