Trethem Mill Touring Park wins top award

Cornish holiday park, Trethem Mill Touring Park, has won VisitEngland's award for excellence as the top holiday park in England in 2017.

The park recently won Gold awards for the Cornwall and Southwest Tourism organisations too.

Trethem Mill Touring Park is a family run business in St Just-in-Roseland, Cornwall, and beat 3,000 other park entrants to win the top prize in the holiday park category.

Owners Ian and Jane Akeroyd picked up their award in April at a ceremony in the Hilton Waldorf in London. The family moved to the park in 1992, meaning they are celebrating 25 years of success since starting out. Their son, Theo, is now working for the business full-time too.

Trethem Mill Touring Park has a reputation among caravanners for peace and tranquility and sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Roseland Peninsula.

The park sits in 12 acres of land with large pitches for caravans, motorhomes and campers alike.

Jane Akeroyd said: “Providing a warm welcome and a friendly and relaxing atmosphere in which people can enjoy their stays, has always been high on our list of priorities. We always try to exceed what our guests expect.”
