Somerset touring park couple to celebrate Golden wedding anniversary

Golden wedding anniversary celebrations planned for Exe Valley Caravan Site's owners.

Paul and Christine Matthews, who own and run MMM Premier Park Exe Valley Caravan Site, will not only be celebrating the Queen's Jubilee on 2 June but also 50 years of marriage as it coincides with that date. To mark the occasion the couple are planning an afternoon of cream teas on the lawn with an anniversary cake and champagne. Guests staying at the caravan site and also the local villagers will be welcome to join them for this celebration.

On Sunday 3 June there is an open invitation to the local friendly cricket match and picnic on the Bridgetown cricket ground. To round off the weekend's celebrations there will be the lighting of a beacon on Winsford Hill on Monday 4 June.

Exe Valley Caravan Site lies deep in Exmoor National Park, nestling amongst trees with the Mill House as its backdrop. The adults only campsite offers pitches situated next to the River Exe or by the gentle mill stream. The whole area is beautiful and there are many walks in this magical setting.
