Shield now offers five-star cover on high value vans

Insurance specialist Shield Total Insurance has improved its caravan policy services to allow owners of 'high value' caravans to benefit from competitively priced comprehensive cover. To the insurance world, a high value caravan means the majority of brand new models that can be found on dealers' forecourts.

Shield has also launched a new level of cover called Guaranteed Value, which will repay the full replacement value of any caravan purchased within the last seven years, regardless of its purchase price or depreciation.

To qualify for Guaranteed Value cover, customers simply need to have a purchase receipt from a recognised UK dealer that shows the amount paid for the caravan and the date it was purchased. This will need to be presented should any claim be made.

Shield's existing New for Old cover has been improved and is also available on high value new caravans. The age of the caravan that can be covered has also been extended from five years to 10, meaning that your investment is now protected for twice as long. New for Old cover provides an identical replacement, or the closest available match, in the event of unrecoverable theft or an irreparable accident.
