New Caravans: Bailey Launches New Pursuit Range

Bailey announces a new Pursuit caravan range this month, with higher standard specification and bright, bold turquoise graphics on “Polar” white and a body shape similar to Pegasus and Unicorn models.

The Bristol-based company launches five models in its Pursuit caravan range; the company will announce the sixth model early in 2017. Its lightweight Pursuit gets a bright, fresh new look and higher spec as standard.

The new Pursuits will come complete with the specification previously included in the Premium Pack, which added £405 to the price. These items are an ‘AL-KO AKS 3004’ hitch-head stabiliser, a floor mounted, steel spare wheel and retainer, a door flyscreen, 800-watt microwave oven, and radio/CD/MP3 player with iPod/MP3 player connection point.

Sixth Model to Follow

The five layouts announced are the two-berth 400-2 (£14,599), two side-fixed bed models, the 430-4 (15,199) and the 530-4 (£15,999), the twin-bed 550-4 (£16,199) and the five-berth 560-5 (£16,249). The sixth model, to be unveiled in the next few weeks, will be the 570-5, with beds for five.

Bailey introduced a new option. Buyers can arrange for their retailer to fit the Truma iNet remote control system for the heating system. ATC stability control and AL-KO Secure wheel locks will continue to be options.

The caravans’ weights are yet to be announced; we expect most to be below 1450kg.

The Big B

The new Pursuits are startlingly different in both exterior and interior appearance compared with the previous range. Bailey introduced its big “B” symbol; this is the same style as on the Pegasus and Unicorn range.

Inside, Pursuits have a similar look to Pegasus and Unicorn; all three ranges now have “Mendip Ash” woodwork. Pursuits, though, have furniture features that distinctly different from the other two ranges, with textured white top locker doors and Taupe kitchen locker doors. Mauve is the focus colour of the soft furnishings scheme.

New models have bigger fridges; up in size from 103-litre capacity to 113 litres. Bailey introduces new square sinks, with covers and removable drainer, and kitchen lockers are larger.

There’s a change in the shower rooms; too; Bailey is bringing in single-piece fully lined showers.
