Motorhome and caravan soft furnishings company enters administration

Stylex Auto Products Limited, which manufactures a range of motorhome and caravan seating coverings, scatter cushions, carpets, bedding, curtains and wall trims for several leisure vehicle manufacturers, including Swift and Auto-Trail, has entered administration.

Stylex was placed into administration on June 12, 2020, and the business is now in the hands of FRP Advisory Trading Limited.

Swift said it was saddened by the news that Stylex has entered administration as the two companies have worked closely for many years. However, it said production of its models will not be impacted by the news.

“Swift Group continues to work with a number of alternative suppliers to Stylex and they are able to meet our requirements for the new season,” said Swift.

Auto-Trail said, while the news about Stylex was unfortunate, due to the manufacturer having more than one supplier, the move into administration is not going to significantly affect Auto-Trail.

Stylex, which is based in north Lincolnshire, was established in 1978 and has a wide experience in working with textiles, coated fabrics, leather, carpeting and vinyl and, as such, has become a major supplier offering design, engineering, cut, sew and trimming services to the leisure vehicle sector. It is part of Rubicon Partners Industries.
